2017 Season Recap:

After beginning his pro career as a privateer, Oldenburg showed up in 2017 with a permanent spot on the factory Troy Lee Designs KTM effort in hopes he would become one of the breakout riders in the championship. The Minnesota native captured a 4th place finish at round 1 in Anaheim but a crash at round 2 in San Diego sidelined Oldenburg for five rounds. Freckle returned in round 7 at Seattle and scored his first career 250SX podium with a 3rd place finish, followed by a 2nd at the second-to-last round in Salt Lake City and a 5th at the last round in Las Vegas for 10th overall.
